Rehearsals
Halim is very specific about permitting spontaneity and emotion at the final performance, thus rehearsals will be kept to a minimum.

All drummers are asked to participate in one mass rehearsal:

  • Sunday, July 9 at 6pm
  • Cleveland's Public Square

NOTE: THIS IS A NEW LOCATION.

There are no formal parking arrangements for the rehearsal.
Suggest Tower City Parking, accessed off of Huron Road, behind the Terminal Tower.
Take the escalator or elevator into Tower City, and follow the signs to Public Square.

More experienced drummers and leaders of troupes will be asked to participate in no more than two additional short rehearsals:

Rehearsal 1:
  • Communication of vision and detailed explanation of the performance and composition by the composer.
  • Building the orchestra and experiencing our sounds together for the first time.
  • Learning some key rhythms, visual and vocal cues.

Rehearsal 2:
  • Quick review of Rehearsal 1 followed by a deeper unfolding of the composition.
  • Small groups or individuals will practice their parts in the symphony.
